Boost Mobile Announces New "Text For Toys" Program for the Holidays

The holidays are fast approaching and for many, this means shopping for gifts to give to family and friends. Unfortunately, this isn't the case for several families this year; particularly those who were affected by the recent hurricanes. The displaced families are still struggling to make their lives go back to normal after what they experienced during the past few months.

As a way of giving, Boost Mobile has partnered with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation as a way to help the displaced families. Earlier on Giving Tuesday, the Sprint prepaid brand announced their new "Text For Toys" program, which would allow individuals to make a monetary donation through their smartphone. For its part, Boost Mobile will be donating $1 for every text message sent, with a maximum of $10,000.

This initiative is not limited to Boost Mobile customers. As a matter of fact, non-customers may also do their part and make a donation for the benefit of less fortunate children. If you are planing to make a donation, you simply have to text "TOYS" to 51555.

The Text For Toys campaign runs from today until December 24, Sunday. 100 percent of the proceeds will directly go to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

With this season of giving, remember to share your blessings. You can help make a child smile with your donation.
