Looking to save money on your new family plan? Sprint and T-Mobile MVNO, TextNow, has just announced that they have new discounts to offer. Since these plans are intended for two or more lines per account, you'll be able to save up to $15 per line. Of course, the discount you get will largely depend on the plan you opt for.

Here are the different TextNow Family Plan Discounts that you may choose from:

  • Tall Plan $19.99 for single line - Includes 1.5GB of 4G LTE data (500MB before), no discount on additional lines
  • Grande Plan $27.99 for single line, $20.99 for each additional line - Includes 3GB of 4G LTE data (1.5GB before)
  • Venti Plan $39.99 for single line, $29.99 for each additional line - Includes 5GB of 4G LTE data (3GB before)
  • Quattro Plan $59.99 for single line, $44.99 for each additional line - Includes 10GB of 4G LTE data (6GB before)

These prices already include taxes and fees. At the same time, each plan option comes with unlimited talk and text domestically and to Canada. If you're wondering whether mobile hotspot is available, it is unofficially supported but you may get in touch with TextNow so you can have it enabled for your phone and account.

Normally, SIM cards from TextNow cost $5 but they are still available for free. So if you want to bring your own phone, you just have to pick up a new SIM card and you'll be set to go.

Another option is to pick out a new smartphone from TextNow since they're currently running a Black Friday sale throughout the month. Under this sale, you'll be able to purchase one of these devices:

    1. Yes, but TextNow, at least on the Sprint side, will use carrier voice if the data connection is bad enough.

  2. Hard to understand, the phones listed how do you know if you're getting Sprint or TMobile?

    1. All the phones TextNow sells are for the Sprint network. Only BYOP SIMs are available for the T-Mobile network.

    3. You can bring your own phone and order a Sprint Sim card for your unlocked device if it supports bands 25, 26, and 41.

  4. TextWho? Another gimmicky MVNO waiting to die, especially on the network with the Kiss of Death.

  5. Plans look decent at the lower end. The only thing I don't like is the whole VOIP thing and reports that TextNow will kick people off if he/she uses too many carrier minutes.

  6. on the lower end and even with multiple lines looks like Mintsim would be cheaper.

    1. Assuming your local taxes aren't unreasonable (which kinda rules out CA), MintSIM still blows this away - you'll get 10GB for less than the 5GB plan here.
