Sale Extended: Twigby Offering 50% Off on First Two Months of Service

Twigby prides itself as an MVNO that slashes off wireless phone bills across the country. Thanks to their low priced plans, customers get to save money on their monthly phone bill with the service they choose.

Now, the MVNO is reaching out to those interested in making the switch to Twigby by offering them an exciting offer. Customers who make the switch can get 50% off on their first two months of service.

What this offer means is that new customers can save a month's worth of service instead of paying for two months. Take a look at their plans and how the discount takes effect:

Twigby Smartphone Plans

When you're getting a plan at Twigby, you get to choose the amount of data you want to include in your plan along with the monthly minutes you wish to consume. You will first have to choose the minutes, which have options ranging from:

  • 200 Minutes - Originally $9, Now $4.50
  • 500 Minutes - Originally $11, Now $5.50
  • 1000 Minutes - Originally $13, Now $6.50
  • Unlimited - Originally $15, Now $7.50
The monthly minutes already include free unlimited texting. Once you have selected your minutes, you can choose how much monthly data you are going to need:

  • Wifi Only - $0
  • 150MB - Originally $3, Now $1.50
  • 500MB - Originally $6, Now $3
  • 1GB - Originally $10, Now $5
  • 2GB - Originally $15, Now $7.50
  • 4GB - Originally $25, Now $12.50

Based on the prices, we can create an example monthly data plan that includes unlimited monthly minutes, unlimited texts, and 4GB of data. This will normally cost $40 but under Twigby's promotion, you only have to pay $20 for the first two months of service.

Apart from the 50% off on the first two months of service, Twigby also has a 20% off sale on smartphones. This sale, however, is ending on November 7, 2017. The 50% off plans promotion and the phone sale have both been extended to December 31, 2017 January 17, 2018.  Among the devices you can buy from Twigby's 20% off sale include the following:

  1. These phones are factory iicked or are they for a specific carrier?

    1. They locked to Sprint and will work on any Sprint MVNO.

    2. If I become aware that any phone on a store shelf is factory-licked, I simply won't buy it.

Even if it is running Android Lollipop.

  2. Re: Twigby's phone sale -- yes, this sale ends on November 7th, but Twigby seems to have sales almost every week or two, either 15% or 20% off, so if you miss this one, there will most likely be another one soon. (For what it's worth, they also make BYOD very easy.) Twigby is a great provider!

  3. Another Twigby great feature worth mentioning is their optional Overage Protection at no extra charge. If you go over your data allotment with OP on, your data continues, throttled at 64k. With voice, if you have OP on,once you use up all your plan minutes you cannot make or receive any more calls until your next billing cycle begins; with OP off, you just get automatically bumped up to the next billing level for the remainder of the current cycle, pay the difference, and then it resets next cycle. Nice!

    1. Does that mean you can get unlimited low speed data for just a few dollars? For people who only need data for email etc it could be quite useful.

    2. @ER Yes, you can set up your plan to have 150MB of data with OP on, after which you get unlimited 64k data for the rest of the month. You can even throttle your data BEFORE you use it up, if you like, by changing your account settings online (choices are 512, 256, 128, or 64k).

  4. Does twigby charge taxes and fees or are they included into the price?

    1. Taxes are extra and are on the high side as Twigby passes their telecom business taxes on to the customer.

    2. Yes, taxes are extra, but they only charge tax on the voice part of the monthly plan (no tax added on data). Here in CA it works out to about 9% extra for whatever I spend on the voice portion of my plan.

  5. This looks like a really great deal, so I'll definitely be getting a Kyocera Verve and the 4GB plan with unlimited minutes.

  6. Twigby is the only Sprint MVNO that I know other than Ting that gives you full voice/text roaming on Verizon. At better prices than Ting I might add. Also the unlimited throttled data at a low price is a nice feature as well.

    1. Ting charges less for my wife and me. $36 Ting vs $38 Twigby for two lines.
It depends on usage vs their tiers.
