Cricket Wireless is back with affordable iPhones in stock. This information was relayed by a HowardForums Gold Member, 12thman, who shared the new prices of the discounted iPhones this morning.

For the past two months, the AT&T prepaid brand did not have any iPhone models below $500. So if you've been keeping an eye out for an iPhone you can buy at an affordable price, now is the perfect opportunity.

Here are the discounted iPhone models you can buy from Cricket Wireless:

  • iPhone SE 32GB - $99 with number switch
  • iPhone 6 32GB - $199 with port-in new number
  • iPhone 6s Plus 32GB - $299 with port-in new number
  • iPhone 7 32GB - $449 with port-in new number
  • iPhone 7 Plus 32GB - $569 with port-in new number

    1. Not being familiar with iphone deals, what would be considered an attractive deal? Any around?

  2. If they can afford to discount iPhones, that means their plans are overpriced. Subsidy game is a scam. Is this why they killed the rewards program, increased prices, and cut speeds? Cricket isn't great anymore.

  3. Hold up, brah.

Let me bust out my $1100 iPhone that was made by chinese slave labor.

Now let me tell you all about how I personally experience capitalist oppression on a daily basis, in hopes that it'll inspire you all to get your own $1100 iPhones.

Then you too can complain about how the man's been keeping you down, ideally from the poolside comfort of your fifth vacation home.

Those privileged Android oppressors just don't know what it's like skating by on investments and a trust fund, am I right?

I mean, their phones only cost a fraction of what ours do.

What blessed lives they all must live.

    1. Ah yes,the old "anyone who is paid less than me is a slave" phrase... Used when discusssing non-slaves.

Slavery does exist in China: prison labor. But the rest, including those at Foxconn, are no more slaves then you or I.

In summary, you won't find any iPhones made by slaves. No matter how much you insult and smear Foxconn workers.

    1. Tell me about it. But it's a lot easier on us elves in the Samsung factory this year. It took us until April to bury the elves lost in the Note 7 explosions of Christmas 2016.

    2. Easy for you to say, Lego. My wrists are sore from folding all those new Samsung X phones.

I've put in an application for one of those "on the shelf" jobs. Not as physically strenuous for us elves, but you gotta stay awake always. Nodoz, here I come!

    3. Enough loafing off. If Santa sees this, we will be in trouble. Let's get back to work!!

  5. Great list!

Can, let's say, iphone 6, can be taken off after 1st month? Does it work on freedompop?

  6. Cricket phones need to be unlocked to be used on FreedomPop. Cricket will unlock phones after they have been used on Cricket for six months.

    1. I read earlier that Unlimited plan subscribers can get it unlocked right away for a couple of months more. Still holds true?

    2. If you buy the phone before Jan 5 and put it on the $60 plan you can get it unlocked immediately for free. Cricket Wireless Ending Free, No-Waiting SIM Unlocks for Unlimited Plan Customers | Prepaid Phone News

  7. So, I understand, but they want 6 months of payment before they will unlock? Can I have it idle and they will unlock? Unlikely? Otherwise, can (ie 6s+) be unlocked easily via ebay code?

    1. iPhone unlocks have been dunning close to $100 on eBay lately and may not work on Cricket phones. Best bet currently is the free immediate unlock on the $60 plan before Jan 5. Otherwise six months of paid service on Cricket is required for an unlock.

  8. Dennis, Is there a certain carrier requirement for the port in number?

    1. To get the phone discount the number can't be ported from AT&T. I don't think Cricket accepts VoIP numbers or landline numbers at all.

    2. I can confirm rejection of landline numbers ... I recently tried to port an AT&T UVerse landline to Cricket, and Cricket's port-in webpage recognized it as a landline, and rejected it.

I ended up porting the landline to TMobile prepaid, and then back to Cricket wireless. (Good thing I had a few extra TMobile sim cards leftover from the old days of $0.99 each!)

  9. That iPhone SE is probably the cheapest I've seen on a quality carrier that doesn't have a Carlos Slime brand attached to it.

    1. MetroPCS had the iPhone SE 32GB for $99 with port-in in October.

I ported from Cricket; I have been delighted to find MetroPCS is a quality carrier, something I could not claim back in the CDMA era.
