If you're on the hunt to buy a new smartphone, Project Fi's latest offering may be something that will interest you.

For a limited time period, both the Google Pixel XL and the Android One Moto X4 are on sale. Instead of paying $669 for the Pixel XL, you only have to pay $549 and save $120 from its regular price. At the same time, the Android One Moto X4 is on sale for only $249 instead of the regular $399 price. This will give you a savings of $150.

In order to get the discount, you will need to purchase either device from fi.google.com. Once it is shipped, you will need to activate your phone within 30 days. This will let you redeem the discount. If you don't activate within 30 days, however, Project Fi will charge you the price difference through your Google Payments account.

Only one discounted smartphone per customer or a group plan is allowed. The discount on both devices is available until February 14 at 11:59 PM PDT, or while supplies last. Get more information on their website.

Which device will you go with?

  1. This looks like a great deal, especially now that Project Fi has an unlimited data plan. Is the Pixel an all carrier phone in the event that I leave Project Fi for one of the four carriers?

  2. X4 great phone. Android one ruins it. Lots of people trying to dump those on eBay. The X5, when that debuts, going to be a great phone.

  3. Moto by Lenovo has a bad track record for OS updates on X-series phones.

There has been a new proposed class-action lawsuit filed against Google on Tuesday, 02/06/2018, by the same law firm that recently settled arbitration claims against LG over their "bootloop" issues.

Google Pixel & Pixel XL has defective microphone issues known by Google for some time, but they are refusing to honor their warranty in a growing # of cases.

Buyer Beware on this sale for the "first generation" Pixels.
