Selectel Wireless Now Offers 5GB of Data on $40/Month Plan

Selectel Wireless, an MVNO operating under Verizon's network, has quietly changed one of its plans. Instead of the original 4GB data allotment on the $40 monthly plan, the MVNO has increased this to 5GB. This means that when you opt for this plan, you will be getting an extra GB of data for the same price.

The other features available on Selectel's $40 per month plan include unlimited minutes, texts, picture messages, and 5GB high-speed data.

Apart from this particular plan, the MVNO has not made any other changes on the other options. After this change, Selectel's monthly service plan options look like this:

  • $15 per month - includes 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 50 MB of high-speed data (3G only)
  • $20 per month - includes 500 minutes, unlimited texts, 50 MB of high-speed data (4G only)
  • $30 per month - includes unlimited minutes, texts, picture messages, and 1GB of high-speed data
  • $40 per month - includes unlimited minutes, texts, picture messages, and 5GB of high-speed data
  • $50 per month - includes unlimited minutes, texts, picture messages, and 7GB of high-speed data
  • $70 per month - includes unlimited minutes, texts, picture messages, and 10GB of high-speed data

Once the data allotment has been used up, the speed is reduced to 2G. The plans include Caller ID, Call Waiting, Basic Voicemail, and Call Forwarding.

  1. I think that only the $30+ plans include unlimited 2G after high speed has been used up.
