Motorola's up and coming devices for this year, the Moto G6 series, have made an appearance on a Hungarian site. Details about three new devices have emerged along with photos and full specifications. Considering the Moto G6 received certification in China, it probably won't be long before we'll get a chance to see these new smartphones out in the open.

In more detail, these three devices include the following rumored specs:

Moto G6

The Moto G6 is said to be equipped with a 5.7-inch Full HD IPS display with 2160x1080 resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. From within, it will be powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU and 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The 3GB of RAM comes with 32GB onboard memory while the 4GB of RAM includes 64GB memory. There is still an option to expand the memory by up to 128GB through a microSD card.

With regards to the camera specs, the Moto G6 is said to have a 12-megapixel main rear-facing camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. In front, there will be a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash. It is also said to carry a 3000mAh battery with turbo charging, a fingerprint sensor, and run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Moto G6 Plus

Following the footsteps of the flagship Moto G6 is the Moto G6 Plus, a slightly larger device with a more powerful processor. The Moto G6 Plus is said to have a 5.93-inch Full HD IPS display with 2160x1080 resoultion and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 processor with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and the Adreno 508 GPU. The internal memory is a choice between 32GB (with 4GB of RAM) or 64GB (with 6GB of RAM). There is room to expand the memory by up to 256GB via a microSD card.

From the back, pictures can be captured via the 12-megapixel main and 5-megapixel sensors. Another 16-megapixel camera can be found in front with LED flash. The device also comes with a fingerprint sensor, 3200mAh battery with turbo charging, and Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Moto G6 Play

The last device, the Moto G6 Play, comes with a 5.7-inch HD IPS display with 1440x720 resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. There is a 1.4GHz Octa-Core 64-bit Snapdragon 430 processor with the Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB or 3GB of RAM. Memory-wise, the phone is available with 16GB (2GB RAM) or 32GB (3GB RAM) native memory option. A microSD card slot is also available to expand the memory.

The camera on the Moto G6 Play will be available with either a 12-megapixel or 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash. In front, another 5-megapixel camera with LED flash is available. There is a 4000mAh battery with fast charging, a fingerprint sensor, and Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

The Hungarian site mentions April 3rd as an important date for these three devices so it's possible they could be made official on that day.

It's important to note that these leaked specs are intended for European models. There is still no confirmation whether these three devices will be making its way for the US at all. If ever they do, the US model may not be available with dual SIM and may even have different RAM and memory specifications.

  1. Does anyone know what camera sensors will be in these phones. By chance will they be Sony sensors? Seems Sony has among the best sensors. Anyone know? Thanks

  2. And as per the older G4 and G5 models from Motorola, will they have radios for all 4 US carriers? Is the new LTE band 71 for Tmobile in there also? I know I am asking anyone who knows. Thanks !

    1. These are leaked specs, so nobody knows for certain until they are officially revealed. One of Moto's big selling points is their universal compatibility, however - it would be very foolish to abandon that. There's a good chance B71 will be supported, but it appears we'll know for certain in just a few days anyway.

    1. Not really. Takes longer to do things on lower end phone, causing CPU to eat power longer. Also, low people who buy low-end phones often are people that can't afford to buy a new phone that often, so one of the things they look for is a battery that's going to last.

    2. Say what you will about low people, but it's only because high people keep throwing money at "the shiny" that we get phones which don't seem practical given the market segment they're aimed at.

An ideal market would offer mid-range specs and removable batteries at an affordable price point for low people who use a phone as their primary or only computing and communication device.

Meanwhile, high people who mostly use phones as phones would only bother with mid to low range phones with built in batteries since their usage isn't necessarily resource intensive and they can replace phones on a whim.

Instead, low people get screwed because high people don't make wise purchasing decisions, skewing the market towards mid-rangers with built in shit-tier batteries that don't fully serve either segment of the market.

      Flagships were a mistake.

  4. reeeee still waiting on the us e5 with its removable battery and affordable price

reeeee why do manufacturers insist on making user unfriendly phones with built in batteries despite them being such an essential yet easily worn down part of the phone

reeeee I might as well keep using a G5 Plus for the next 1 and a half years because Moto can't even get their phones released before the end of the year despite the first leaks com8ng out months ago

reeee I'll just wait until the E6 because I can't even be bothered to care anymore

Seriously, what the hell is taking them so long to release phones we already know exist and are ready to be sold?
