  1. For Xfinity Internet customers only, and with activation on a service plan, Xfinity Mobile offers the Apple iPhone 7 128GB (Product) Red Edition Smartphone for Xfinity Mobile from $349.99 with free shipping. That puts this model at the lowest price for this special edition iPhone on any carrier.
The 256GB costs $100 more, $449.99, also a low price.
iPhone 7 Plus 256GB is $569.99, another record low price.

  2. So, if I don't have any services with Comcast, and I want to sign for Xfinity Mobile, I will be charged $10 a month for unlimited talk/text/100mg data?

    1. Wondering the same thing, I don't have any Comcast services but at home there are Xfinity hotspots (I've purchased passes before), I could basically get unlimited access to these for $10? Sounds to good to be true.

    2. So, only people who are in a comcast area and have comcast internet can get this?

  3. If you're not a current Xfinity subscriber and you pay $10 for service, you still have unlimited xfiniXf hotspot access? That would cover about 90% of where I travel and work. I can do this for $10 pls taxes for unlimited talk and text on Verizon and unlimited Xfinity hotspots?

    1. You CAN NOT become an Xfinity Mobile customer UNLESS you have Comcast internet service. There is NO $10 a month Stand alone service.

    2. Standalone service definately is available. You have to sign up in store, not online. You sign up for Xfinity Internet which you can then cancel and keep Xfinity Mobile with the $10 upcharge.

This is documented on the XFINITY Mobile Plans page Click "Pricing & other info" and you will see "$10 per line monthly charge applies if at least one of the following post-pay subscriptions are not maintained on the account: XFINITY TV, Internet or Voice service."

Some stores will reportedly even waive the requirement to sign up for and cancel Internet.

    3. You're only half right. If you quit Xfinity broadband, you can keep your mobile service and pay $10/month plus data used over 100mb.

    4. 1. You can also avoid the $10/month fee if you keep Xfinity TV and/or Voice, and drop the Internet.
      2. You can pay the $10 fee on top of the price of the $45 Unlimited TnT and data plan, if you cancel all Xfinity home services.

    5. Yes but do you also keep unlimited hotspot access for that $10, I could care less about the 100mb.

  4. I can't find any official non-customer info for joining Xfinity mobile.

  5. FYI, Xfinity sells locked phones. Second hand iPhones can NOT be unlocked unless you provide the original owner's billing info to Xfinity CS; name, service address, and last 4 digits of the billing credit card.

    1. Xfinity mobile will unlock their phones anytime you want to leave. Just call CS before you close your account; there is no charge to unlock.

    2. IF
...you bought your phone directly from Xfinity (or you can provide the original account credentials)
      AND
...your account (and the phone) meet all the unlocking criteria
      THEN
Yes, they will unlock it for free.

Not necessarily anytime you want, however. In the last month or so Xfinity added "phone paid in full" to the unlocking requirements.

  6. Second hand Verizon iPhones are already unlocked, I have an unlocked Att 6s, according to xfinitys website , both are compatible.

  7. Oh I see, you're referring Xfinity branded secondhand iPhones.i think.

    1. Yes, by second-hand iPhones I meant an Xfinity locked iPhone aquired via Swappa, eBay, etc. Good luck ever getting one of those unlocked, even if you are a current Xfinity customer.

  8. All I can say is this is comcast. It's surprising they have this many subs for this product already. I suppose for areas they have a monopoly in, some have no choice and this does offer a better price point.

Can't imagine their mobile customer service is much better than regular customer service.

Something about having all the eggs in one basket is bothersome. Esp with a company like comcast.

  9. Isn't the $10/mo unl+unl+100mb on auto-pay only?
Their gonna ding you that extra $12/GB the moment you hit 101st mb aren't they?

  10. Bruh, he credit check defeats the point of prepaid.

It's supposed to be hassle free since you pay up front.

    1. Agreed, if they have your credit, there is no peace of mind. Most of the people who embrace postpaid are the ones with poor credit and little to lose.

I would love to see a source for this.

  11. Xfinity announced they will limit hotspot use on the unlimited data plan to 3G, or 600 Kbps.
The video streaming resolution will be reduced from 720p to 480p.
They say this will help them keep the low prices in place.

Now my Xfinity Mobile BYOP iPhone connects automatically to a Xfinity hotspot! Time moves a lot faster in the que. Speedtest clocked 27.2 down and 27.6 up today!
