Save $100 on Walmart's Samsung Galaxy S7 + Straight Talk's $45 Unlimited Plan Bundle Offer

Walmart has once again come up with an interesting smartphone deal for Straight Talk Wireless customers. If you're in the market for a new smartphone and Straight Talk Wireless plan, you might be interested in getting this Walmart offer.

For a limited time, you can get Straight Talk's Samsung Galaxy S7 bundle for only $344. This bundle includes the Samsung Galaxy S7 and a $45 Unlimited plan. If you buy this bundle separately from Walmart, you'll have to shell out $399 for the phone alone and another $45 for the same plan. This equates to $444. You'll get to save $100 from your purchase.

It's important to note, however, that Walmart is currently offering the Galaxy S7 at a discounted price. The regular price of the phone is $499, so this still gives you a savings of $100.

Even if the phone was released in early 2016, it still features specs that can be considered competitive today. For starters, the Galaxy S7 comes with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440x2560 and 16:9 aspect ratio. From within, the phone runs on a 1.6GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, and a microSD card slot of up to 200GB.

Taking pictures with the Galaxy S7 can be done with the 12-megapixel main camera with 4K video or the front-facing 5-megapixel camera. The device includes NFC, Wi-Fi Direct, mobile hotspot, a fingerprint sensor, and an IP68 certification for dust and water-resistance. Powering it from behind is a non-removable 3000mAh Li-Ion battery that lasts up to 22 hours of talk time and 12 days of standby time. The Galaxy S7 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box but this can be upgraded to 7.0 Nougat.

The $45 unlimited plan that the Galaxy S7 is bundled with comes with unlimited talk, text, and 10GB of high speed data. Straight Talk runs on the four major carriers so the phone can be used on a network of your preference.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 + $45 Straight Talk Unlimited plan bundle offer is available until April 2018.

    1. If the great S7 and S8 deals were on different carriers, I might bite, but what is the sense of using a S7 on a Carlos Slim MVNO. The Cricket S8 is tempting, but you can't realize the benefits of carrier aggregation if the data speeds are capped at 3 or 8 mps.

    2. How long are phones locked to Staight Talk, just in case I want to use it on another carrier if I get slime'd by Slim.

    3. Straight Talk says they will unlock their phones after 12 months paid service. But only if Straight Talk considers the phone capable of being unlocked, otherwise they will buy the phone back for a fraction of its value. I don'the know if they consider the S7 unlockable or not.

    4. @Dennis: do they maintain and provide a list of unlockable phones they sell?

  3. Or you could get an unlocked Moto G/E and switch carriers when Big Slim screws you.

  4. I battled Straight Talk to get my phone unlocked. I had to file a complaint with the FCC to get Straight Talk to unlock it.

    1. What phone did you get them to unlock and for which network?

  5. The thing I like about network/Straight talk is they are the two American movil brands that you can switch your underlying carrier. That's mainly what keeps me around, especially when you have reserve service in your account. I moved from a good at&t area to a really lousy one and was able to switch to the Verizon side of network with my iPhone and same #. Nothing else good to say about American movil except that you have your choice of the big 2, Anna TMO/spring. Zach

    1. Still a great phone, battery holding up?

    2. My At&t version S7 still has great battery life after almost 2 years. No slowing, operates just as fast as when it was new. Its a great option for folks who don't want the curved screen S8/+. $344 is a pretty good deal for a new S7. Too bad it is locked to AM. If it was truly unlocked, like the ones Costco was selling, I'd get a second phone and retire my wife's S5.

    1. Have you used this guy to successfully unlock a Straight Talk S8 for $10? If you have please post his seller ID so other readers can find him.

TracFone (Straight Talk is part of TracFone) phones are generally considered nearly impossible to unlock. Must unlocking services won't touch them.
