  1. Another day, another irrelevant boostpost.

It's like a movie we all know the ending of.

Once they merge with Tmo, all these phones will be junk compared to universally compatible devices.

    1. "Once they merge with Tmo, all these phones will be junk"

You need to examine the list more closely.

    2. Ugggh. The mindless hatred of all things Sprint strikes again. For people who live in an area with good Sprint coverage Boost is a great deal. As far as the merger.

      1. It might not get regulatory approval.
      2. If it does it'll take quite awhile to combine the networks. These subsidized phones will be useful for at least two years.

    3. +1. IF the merger is approved, Sprint/Boost will unlock phones even if they do not meet the 1-year service requirement, since T-Mobile will be the anchor network. Many of the phones listed are universal models, so choose one of them.

    4. "IF the merger is approved, Sprint/Boost will unlock phones even if they do not meet the 1-year service requirement". That would be nice, but will they actually do it? Is this promise published somewhere? I don't recall T-Mobile unlocking all GSM capable MetroPCS phones when they bought Metro.

    5. That's not completely true...l work for a group that sells boost and many other prepaid carriers and 3 out of the 4 postpaid carriers so we deal with a direct associate of the parent companies. Most of the boost mobile devices have GSM roaming capabilities in them already. In the month of june an update will be sent to boost compatible and sprint compatible devices to allow roaming...That will be a plus for the sprint brand for now...

  2. The word roaming is missing from $60 unlimited plan promotion description.

  3. For the $60 unlimited plan, how can they advertise it as that when it gets capped at 23 GB?

    1. It’s not capped you still have unlimited data. It’s throttled but you still have data. I use about 300gb a month on boost because the tower by me is not congested so I get highspeed no matter what.

  4. when tmobile bought metro pcs , metro pcs had horrible cdma only phones, Sprint network has 30 million iphone customers, So every iphone is 100% with tmobile once unlocked, I'm sure all tmobile will have to do is send imei numbers to apple that were previously locked to sprint and apple will white list for use on sprint, Super easy, No for the other android phones on sprint, I would say 80% are gsm compatible so with unlock code they will work fine on tmobile, I unlock and flash phones all the time at my cell store, And all androids are gsm compatible if unlocked

    1. Sprint says 20M of their 59M subscribers have a phone that is compatible with the T-Mobile network. No details, so we don't know the extent.
I agree that it would be easy to unlock all Sprint iPhones starting with 4S. Verizon did that with their iPhone 4S a while back.
Most but not all Androids are GSM-compatible; there are still some old 3G models in use without a SIM slot. All of 3G models would have to be replaced, and I doubt that Sprint will want to unlock all early 4G LTE Androids individually. Their press announcement seemed to imply they would not, the 39M remaining phones. That number has to included some LTE phones with SIM slots.
