    1. Dennis is on a vacation until tomorrow so the weekly deal might resume this weekend.

    2. Let's be honest.

Unless you're in the market for cheap burners, the E5 and G5(s) Pluses will be the only cheap phones worth getting for the next year.

And with non-universally compatible phones disqualified due to a lack of utility, it's relatively easy to find good deals on Slickdeals given that you'll only be looking for 2 phones from the same manufacturer.

The age of burners is over and has been since everyone started offering affordable unlimited plans, the value of which is entirely dependent on finding whichever network out of the top two works best in your area.

      Long live unlocked devices.

  2. AT&T Prepaid also has an oldie but goodie, the Moto E2 (XT1527) for $35. While it will be short on memory and storage for some, it's built like a tank, has gorilla glass, and has long battery life. 4.5 inch screen for those who prefer smaller phones.

    1. Is that Moto E2 a gsm only model? No go for VZW/Sprint?

    2. AT&T only, or T-Mobile if unlocked. Different models of this phone exist for the CDMA networks.

    3. Thanks, guess I'll go with an E4 and unlock it, will be double that $35 figure though.

    4. Get an additional 15% off on this phone (total $29.74) through 6/29/2018 for new activations. They must have found a bunch of these 2015-vintage phones in the back of the warehouse. ;-)

  3. Isn't ZTE "insecure"? Why doesn't ATT just discard them, rather than 'giving' them to the public, so they can have their info exposed?

    1. AT&T would lose money and their are lots of ZTE supporters who will still buy them. I still use a Huawei phone and would buy another at the right price if it meets my needs and no competitor price is close for a similar phone that met my requirements.
