Tello Mobile's Father's Day Promotion Gives You a Free Month of Service

With Father's Day being just a few days away, you can expect to see a number of Father's Day-related promotions everywhere you go. Not one to miss out on this opportunity, Tello Mobile has launched its own Father's Day promotion to entice new customers to sign up for service.

The Sprint MVNO has unveiled a promotion that would give its customers a free month of wireless service for simply signing up. If you are interested in this promotion, you can get a month's worth of service inclusive of unlimited talk, text, and 2GB of 4G LTE data. The plan also includes unlimited calling to Canada, Mexico, and China; along with mobile hotspot.

Regularly, this free plan costs $19 per month (plus taxes and fees). But if you sign up for service and use the coupon code DADLOV3 when you checkout, you can get this free month of service.

Since it is only available to new customers, existing subscribers are unable to join this promotion. You can bring your Sprint compatible device or opt to buy a new phone from Tello.

Tello's Father's Day promotion runs from June 14th until June 20th.

  1. Free stuff for only new subscribers?

Boy, it sure is getting awfully Ringplus in here.

    1. I guess T-Mobile postpaid must also be "awfully Ringplus," with its device promos that require port-ins, AALs, etc.

Tello just wrapped up a huge promotion that included existing subscribers. To be honest I find Tello far superior to RingPlus. Unlike the "free" year or "$15/mo." promotions from Sprint itself, Tello doesn't require a credit check or even having a credit card on file.

I kind of miss Ringplus coming out with 613 new plans a month, named after Renaissance painters, types of food, ninja turtles, and different walrus subspecies.

  2. Just one month for free?

When Sprint itself will give you the entire year?

And Tello is $19 per month afterward?

When Sprint itself would only charge you $15 for permanent pricing?

    1. That $15/mo Sprint thing cannot be "permanent" since the company itself is planning to disappear and become an expanded T-Mobile. Sprint's one year "free" isn't actually free, as you still pay taxes and fees based on the plan's actual cost. If you want truly free wireless service, walk over to the person you wish to communicate with and speak to them. Aloud.

    2. If the T-Mobile acquisition of Sprint is successful, the $15 / month pricing is highly likely to be grandfathered and basically 'permanent' as long as you keep it the same and pay the bill, much like:

      * T-Mobile's own retired but grandfathered plans and discounts (Simple Choice, Free Data For Life, BOGO line, the Hookup promotion, etc.), and

      * the plans offered by other companies T-Mobile has acquired (MetroPCS, SunCom, iWireless, etc.).

    3. It will take 18-24 months to integrate the two companies if they merge. Sprint Plans and service are not going to just disappear overnight.

  3. It's pointless to rake a company over the coals for limiting a special promotion to new customers only-- whether it's "right" or not, it's a common practice in telecom, internet, cable, etc. Take advantage of the offers for which you're a 'new customer', and (in this case)appreciate the already excellent pricing & service Tello provides if you're a current customer.
As a Tello customer for over a year, I'm aware that Tello goes out of it's way to give price breaks to existing customers that most telecoms would not do-- my monthly plan cost has decreased by 25% over the last year, and changed from 200 texts to unlimited.
