Xfinity Mobile Offering $150 Back on Purchase of LG or Motorola Device

Yesterday, SlickDeals unveiled an Xfinity Mobile prepaid card offer for customers who bring their iPhone device over and activate service. This offer was a little biased for iPhone devices as many preferred an Android prepaid card offer instead. Thankfully, a new prepaid card offer was shared on the forum thread, one that's intended for Android users.

For a limited time period, Xfinity Mobile is giving away $150 purchase credit when you port a number to Xfinity Mobile and purchase a qualifying LG or Motorola device.

All you need to do is purchase a device and activate a new line of service under Xfinity Mobile. You also need to port in a phone number for every new line you activate. The deal behind this offer is that you have to stay as an Xfinity Mobile customer for the next 90 days after line activation. Your credit must also be in good standing.

After 16-18 weeks, you will receive a $150 Prepaid Card as a refund for the money you spent on purchasing the Android smartphone you picked out.

You can pick a plan of your choice from the two being offered by the Comcast MVNO:

  • $12 per month - includes 1GB data
  • $45 per month - includes unlimited data

The devices available under this Android offer include the following options:

  • LG K30, reg $179.99, $29.99 after after prepaid card offer.
  • LG X charge, reg $150, free after after prepaid card offer. (cirrently out of stock)
  • moto e5 play reg $119.99, -$30.01 after prepaid card offer.

This promotion is available until August 5, 2018.

    1. It works wherever Verizon service is available but can only be activated in markets where Xfinity Internet is available.

  2. I'm not waiting 5 to 12 months for a payoff, so any deal that doesn't offer instant gratification is dead to me.

It's basically a ponzi scheme where you pay now and maybe cash out later, so long as in half a year you still remember to ask why you haven't received your prepaid card yet.

    1. Ya, having to wait 16-18 weeks to get the pre-paid card is not all that great an incentive. They only require you to remain on the service for 90 days, so why not mail it 90 days following Xfinity Mobile line activation?

  3. One things that is unclear is whether existing customer can add a line and still get this deal.

    1. WHY? Do you think Xfinity is trying to trick you? Sounds clear to me.

  5. Is it possible to add the pre-paid card to your account in order to pay your monthly charges and pay off the phone?

If not, what would be a creative way to use the pre-paid card to apply it to the phone?

    1. Xfinity doesn't give any details about the card but it's probably a prepaid Visa or Mastercard debit card that can be used anywhere debt cards can. So you could use to pay you Xfinity bill for service and phone payments.

Keep in mind that you don't get the card until 16 to 18 weeks after you activate the line so you are going to be paying the bill yourself for 4 or 5 months.

    2. Thanks Dennis,
I was thinking of stringing it along and then pay off the phone when the pre-paid card came.

  6. I caution people signing up for Xfinity Mobile, starting this month they are going to limit video to 480 p cd quality but are planning to offer 720p for an added cost. Also hotspot data will be limited to 600kps unless you are,on by the gig. These two changes were a deal breaker for me. I had been satisfied with Xfinity Mobile since May 2017 but these changes are a reason to find another MVNO.

    1. Caution: You will certainly won't enjoy paying more money with another carrier. You won't be able to match $45/month for Unlimited TnT and data on the Verizon network. And no other carrier serving your area will come close to the free Unlimited TnT with $12 data by the gig for lighter use. So if this is a legit post, you should reconsider.
