  1. So basically Red Pocket is introducing a couple new data tiers -- but only for Sprint and AT&T:

    * 10 GB LTE (at $29.92 per month today with 10% discount code PRIMOTECH) and

    * unlimited LTE (at $37.43 per month today with 10% discount code PRIMOTECH).

It's a bad deal for Sprint, which will already directly give you 1 year free (about $5 in taxes and fees).

It's a good deal for AT&T -- assuming you don't have an iPhone, because Red Pocket on an iPhone cannot be used with MMS (group texts with Android users or photo texts with Android users).

But if you have an Android, it's a significantly better deal than AT&T Prepaid, Pure Talk, Straight Talk AT&T, H2O, etc. offer.

Hopefully this forces other MVNOs to compete on price, and brings AT&T prices closer to T-Mobile MVNO prices (like Teltik's $40 unlimited LTE plan).

  2. Daily reminder that MVNOs don't actually offer unlimited data and aren't legally obligated to make good on the service they advertise.

They pay per GB and will cut you off for being unprofitable.

Otherwise, I'd actually be considering unlimited on AT&T for only $40.

If you want unlimited data on AT&T and are willing to use Google Voice or another VoIP service instead of having an actual phone number, AT&T has a $30 unlimited LTE data iPad plan. It can actually be used in any device.

    2. Voip is trash, else everyone would still be using Freedompop.
