Tello Mobile's Mid-Summer Sale Lets You Sign Up for a Plan with $10 on First Month

Tello Mobile has just unveiled its latest promotion targeted towards new customers.

Earlier today, the Sprint-based MVNO revealed its new promotion called Mid-Summer Sale. This promotion gives new customers a chance to save money on the first month of service they sign up with.

According to the promotion, customers can get the first month of service for just $10. This discounted price is applicable towards any Tello plan priced above $10. What this means is that you can get the highest tier, the $39 per month plan, and pay only $10 for the first month of service.

The good news is that this promotion is available on several Tello Mobile plan options. Their plans include international calling to Canada, Mexico, and China plus the data plans include mobile hotspot. The data included on their plans are unlimited but gets throttled to 64Kbps once you run out of high speed data allotment for the month.

Tello's Mid-Summer Sale does not include taxes and fees so you will have to check with your location. Remember, the sale is only applicable on the first month of service. After that month is up, you'll have to pay for the monthly plan at its regular price to continue using service.

The promotion ends on July 31, 2018.

  1. Tello really has the best rates right now if Sprint works well in your area. Everybody out there is bundling unlimited minutes with their plan, but Tello lets you pay-go minutes and texts. Way better than Ting.

    1. That's kinda like saying a car without air conditioning and sunroof is way better than an identical car that has those options but costs more. Ting "free" roaming is not free. You pay extra if you need or want it.

    2. Tello has very good "rates," but other MVNOs easily beat them depending on how many minutes, texts and MB of mobile data you need. This applies to both their regular plans and their pay as you go plan rates.

  2. If I use my Sprint iphone 5s on Tello, can I go back to sprint or will it be locked to Tello?

  3. You won’t find unlimited talk and text and 1GB data (throttled after, not even cut off!) for $14 a month. For this setup, Tello can’t be beat. If I could find a better deal, I would switch to it.

    1. I have a better deal on Xfinity Mobile. My $14 price/month with 1GB data includes taxes (unlike Tello), but I also get to use Xfinity hotspots free. The phones connect automatically within range, so I get a lot more free data. And of course Verizon coverage is much broader than native Sprint.

    2. Mint Mobile is a better deal on the T-Mobile network (2GB/month), but you have to buy a year in advance to get it after the $45/3 month promo is used up.
People who don't need unlimited TnT and use less than 1000/month can save a little with Red Pocket Essentials for $15/month including taxes (your choice of networks). And Red Pocket Amazon plan with Unlimited TnT for $17/month including taxes also gives you network choice.
Go ahead and switch from Tello. You'll save money, get better coverage or both.

    3. Unreal Mobile beats that by $4, but the ultimate downside is Unreal is FreedomPop. I'm trying Unreal anyway to see how it goes.

    4. You are kidding, right? Comcast has it around the same and you get VZW higher quality network... Mint's 2GB is just a tad more on TMo. If you really want to match it completely - Unreal has the exact same plan for $10.

  4. Unreal Mobile (a FreedomPop company...just sayin') has Unlimited with 1GB LTE for $10 on Sprint. My kids are still on the Virgin $1/yr unlimited, but in September that promo will be over. Hopefully they'll still have the $1/mo come September. And the adults just re-switched to the Sprint 1 yr unlimited BYOP free (plus taxes). So many options for cheap phone service right now...

  5. Sprint? They should be competing on AT&T, at least until the merger goes through.

  6. I have used tello again and again when in a bind. Can't complain because you adjust what you need. I find the data costs a little high but you can get unlimited calls and texts and add data accordingly.
