Several Best Buy Stores Now Carry Consumer Cellular's Products

Back in June, Consumer Cellular reported having a total of 2.9 million subscribers. With the steady growth it has been receiving, the AT&T and T-Mobile MVNO believes they will be able to reach their 3 million customer mark by the end of the year.

And as evident with the leading MVNO recognition it received from a Market Force study, Consumer Cellular is well on its way to reaching great heights. Today's reports are showing they are well on their way towards that.

Earlier today, a Wave7 Research report showed that Consumer Cellular expanded its store availability in 200 Best Buy locations last July 6th.

In addition to Best Buy, the MVNO is also now available in other retail brands like Target and Sears, despite the latter's continuous store closures and reports of losses. On the other hand, Target remains as the MVNO's customer service center for its products.

The MVNO hopes that all Best Buy locations nationwide will carry their brand by 2019. Additionally, the MVNO has expressed its plans of hiring around 1,200 employees in the next three years to be part of its workforce in its latest facility based in Phoenix, Arizona. The facility, a massive 164,000 square foot space, used to belong to Sam's Club. This number will be in addition to the existing 1,000 employees of the company in its two other locations in Phoenix.

  1. Honestly, that's just a waste of space for the stores. There are obviously better priced competitors with better plans out there.

  2. Everybody is always so negative on comment boards. Really, really sad.

I congratulate Consumer Cellular for getting as far as they have, and wish them nothing but the best.

  4. Those 3 million people are all seniors who do not know that there are other companies for less money.

    1. Wrong. Lots of couples save money with CC. PC Mag says they are the best bargain for couples. Like my daughter and her husband. $50/month +$6 tax vs. $150+ for their Verizon family plan with limited talk and data. My wife and I used to pay CC $35/month plus tax before we got Xfinity. It was a good value, especially with postpaid coverage, Apple partner benefits and excellent customer support. CC lowers their rates every year, and all subscribers benefit. They will keep growing.
