Following in on the tradition of Back-to-School deals, Ting Mobile recently announced a new sale on its website. The MVNO unveiled a "Back-to-School Sale," which promises to give its customers a $100 account credit when they purchase a Moto G6.

In case you want a refresher on the specs of the Moto G6, it includes a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with a 1080x2160 resolution. From within, the phone runs on a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor with 3GB of RAM and the Adreno 506 GPU running on top of it. There is a built-in 32GB memory available with a microSD card slot for up to 128GB memory expansion.

You can take pictures with the phone through its 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with 4K video recording or the 8-megapixel front-facing sensor. Other features include a 3,000mAh battery, NFC, and a fingerprint scanner. The Moto G6 has a rugged frame and runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

If you have been planning to get your hands on the Moto G6, now is the best time to do it. All you have to do is head to the nearest Ting store and purchase the device for $249. In order to get the credit, you will have to activate the phone under either Sprint or T-Mobile's networks offered by Ting Mobile.

A sad caveat to this is that the $100 will be credited back to your account over the course of 10 months. This means that you will get $10 in your account for the next 10 months.

Ting has not specified an end date for this promotion but says that credits will start being applied on the account by September 4, 2018. And of course, the promotion lasts until supplies are available.

  1. Bill credits?

Get this trash out of here.

It's only worth it on Big Red, because at least then you're not gonna be wanting for better coverage.

Well, you might be, but there won't be anywhere better to go.

On the other hand, when it comes to Sprint and T-mobile, even a one month commitment is pushing it.

    3. Ting is profitable and growing. They are responsible for a big part of Tucows' success. Don't be a worry-wort. Enjoy the $100 and free roaming.

  2. Ting metered billing is the worst. You pay a fortune for a handful of texts and calls, not to mention bogus line fee. Throw taxes and fees on top and you're paying $20-30/month to make 10 calls and send 5 emails. Price gouging at it's worst.

    1. Ting customers are the happiest in the wireless business. They average $23/line to get all they need, and also get great tools and tips to control their costs.
Price gouging is when carriers only offer unlimited TnT plans, regardless of your usage. That is the real 'bogus' in wireless. Like selling snow to Eskimos.
