Earlier today, Boost Mobile announced that it is adding a new device to its roster of inexpensive Android devices. The new smartphone is the LG K30, a rebranded variant of the K10 that was announced by the manufacturer early this year.

The LG K30 comes with a 5.3-inch IPS LCD display with a 720x1280 pixel resolution. Powering the device from within is a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. There is a microSD card slot for up to 512GB memory expansion.

Photos can be captured via the 13-megapixel rear-facing camera or the 5-megapixel front-facing sensor. The back camera comes with a 1080p video resolution at 30fps. Other notable features available in the K30 include a fingerprint reader, GPS, 2880mAh battery, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.2, and Wi-Fi. Upon release, the K30 ships with Android 8.1 Oreo and is available in black color for Boost Mobile.

The Sprint prepaid brand is offering the LG K30 for $150.

For a limited time period, Boost is offering a deal for those who decide to switch. If you get four lines of service, you will only have to pay $25 for each line. This already comes with unlimited talk and text, optimized video, game and music streaming. It also includes unlimited music streaming with Boost's partners. The switcher promotion is available until November 15, 2018.

  1. Wow. 512 ram at a fraction of the cost of the 512 gb iPhone Max. On top of that, you can swap out the chips.

As good as a $1500 iPhone in one aspect of this, and better in another....

  4. Nothing qrong with the K10. It has 2 GB of Ram not 512gb. Renaming a budget phone to a name similar to LG flagships is very misleading. So disappointed in Boost and LG.

    1. Huh? The LG flagships have never had these K names.

  5. Specs are different on Boost's site. Says it's a 1.5 g octacore mediatek. Which is correct?

  6. LG heavily marketed their flagships V30 and V30+. I don't think it is a coincidence that LG is renaming a K10 to make it seem to be a better phone. Much like Samsung when they appended the name Galaxy to many low spec phones after using the name exclusively with their flagships.

I have witnessed a number of unsophisticated people buy entry level Samsung phones because they were getting a 'Galaxy' for what they believed was a cheap price.

    1. your point is very weak. LG has used the k letter for lower-level phones for years. I think you are accusing them of being deceiving for daring to use letters and numbers in their Flag ships and also daring to use letters and numbers in their lower and phones. Shocking!

You're making up an issue, and looking for something to nitpick about. Welcome to internet forums, it seems like you have everything down pat.l
