iOS users on Mint, good news are headed your way!

Earlier today, Mint Mobile announced a few new features that will be available to iOS users. Among the features that will are coming to iOS devices include Wi-Fi calling and texting, visual voicemail, and VoLTE enabled calling.

This brings good news to iOS users who have been waiting for Mint's Wi-Fi calling and texting feature that was previously Android-exclusive.

If you are an iOS user on Mint, you can automatically get Wi-Fi calling on your device. The requirement, however, is that you need to have an iPhone 5s, SE, 6, or above. The device should also run on iOS 12 or higher.

Once these requirements are met, your MMS and data settings will be updated automatically when your iPhone's carrier settings are updated.

Here's how you can update your carrier settings on your device:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on General
  3. Tap on About
  4. Tap on Carrier

Your phone may ask you to update your carrier settings so just choose update. Once that's done, you'll be able to enjoy the new features offered by Mint.

Mint Mobile operates under T-Mobile's network.

  2. T-mobile MVNOs won't be viable for another two to three years.

Once the carriers merge and build out 5G, maybe then Mintsim will be worth it.

  3. Interesting. But I'm already on the 3GB per month from Simple for $20 (Autopay).
I don't have to prepay 3 - 9 months of service to get a deal...
