Phones Purchased via eBay Now Include Option for Red Pocket Mobile Service

red-pocket-mobile-ebayRed Pocket Mobile has recently partnered with eBay for an exciting promotion.

When you purchase a phone from eBay's website, you'll be able to pair it with a Red Pocket Mobile plan.

If you decide to purchase a phone and pair it with a Red Pocket Mobile plan, you have the following plan options to choose from:

  • $29 per month plan - Includes unlimited talk, text and 3GB of data (for Sprint, T-Mobile or Verizon), and 5GB of data (for AT&T)
  • $60 annual plan - Includes 100 minutes, 100 texts and 500MB of data every month (available on any network)
  • $99 annual plan - Includes 500 minutes, 500 texts and 500 MB of data (available on any network)
  • $199 annual plan - Includes unlimited talk and text with 1GB of data each month (available on any network)
  • $249 annual plan - Includes unlimited talk, text and 2GB of data (available on any network)

All plans come with free international calling. Data is hard capped on the $60, $99, and $199 plans; which means that if you run out of data before the month is over, that's all the data you get. More data can be added as an add-on option with $2 for 100MB or $5 for 250MB.

Red Pocket Mobile does not roll over unused talk, text, and data to the next month. You have to use them up by the end of the cycle.

  1. Only their unlimited plans include international calling.

  2. Aren’t these just regular prices for the plans ebay offers? No incentives for a bundle of phone/plan?

  3. What's exciting about this? Look likes RP's usual rates, no?

  4. If I owned a Telco, MVNO or cellphone dealership I would drop Ebay in favor of Amazon or other online outlets.

    1. Exactly. Because eBay doesn't come across as that professional. It's typically either some guy selling a phone, or some nameless Chinese output with a vest feedback score that indicates that treat many customers badly.

    2. "I would drop Ebay in favor of Amazon or other online outlets."
Great example of why 80% of new businesses fail.

  5. Perhaps, Amazon's commissions are much higher than EBay's.

  6. Red Pocket is already on Amazon. I don't know if they are still pushing promo deals as hard as they push eBay. Maybe eBay has just been more profitable.

Agree that the rates Red Pocket is pushing here, aren't really a slam dunk.

    1. Amazon's selling fees are generally higher than eBay's. I know this because I have dealt with both.

  7. The gizmotrader on Ebay has decent phones at a far price. Even better when there is a percent off sale event. I've bought a few phones from them.

  8. Redpocket hasn't sold the 100/100/500 or the 500/500/500 plan on ebay for months, do I'm glad they'll at least offer it with a phone purchase. I'm sure how they will implement this though as a paired purchase of a cellphone.
