T-Mobile brings home the bacon once again in Ookla's latest Speedtest Intelligence data results.

For the 19th consecutive quarter, T-Mobile has topped the charts of the test; resulting to it getting recognized as the carrier with the fastest 4G LTE speeds in the country.

The survey showed results from its study gathered in Q3 2018, wherein T-Mobile earned an average 4G LTE download speed of 31.7Mbps. This number has slightly gone down since the previous quarter. The average 4G LTE upload speed the carrier got also dropped a bit from the previous quarter, showing an average of 11.5Mbps.

Even with the drop in average speed, T-Mobile still earned the top spot as the carrier with the fastest 4G LTE speeds in the country. Its competitors scored:

  • Verizon: 29.6Mbps (download), 9.6Mbps (upload)
  • AT&T: 27.9Mbps (download), 7.7Mbps (upload)
  • Sprint: 25.5Mbps (download), 3.2Mbps (upload)

Hard to say. There is no T-mobile coverage in my area.

  3. Very happy with our TMobileOne 55+ plan where we see speeds sometimes in excess of 70 Mbps when using SpeedTest app [ be certain your WiFi is turned off to get a true mobile network speed test ]

  4. Not even close to this! TMobile barely hits the mid-20s in downtown St Louis.

  5. 140/36 where I live, Miami, FL on T-Mob. Faster than my Xfinity home Net. We all know every Company has bad areas and ppl like to trash them but credit them when they do work...

  6. Data is biased. Can't take an online speed test in areas T-mobile doesn't cover, but that Verizon and AT&T do.

It doesn't matter if you're the fastest in small highly populated areas if your coverage drops off a mile away.

  7. Ookla (speed test.com) has been known to have been paid by TMobile to fudge results.
