TextNow Offering Free Phone Plans Until 2019 When You Buy A Phone

It's rare for a company to offer a free phone plan but in times that they do, it's usually just a one month promotion.

This brings us to TextNow's newest promotion, where you can get a free phone plan for the remaining days of 2018. In exchange for this, you need to purchase a phone from them.

The new promotion is pretty straightforward. You buy a phone and you get free phone plan for at least two months. The good thing about this promotion, however, is that you can pick the plan you would like to sign up to. TextNow's plans look like this:

  • $9.99 per month - includes unlimited talk and text only
  • $19.99 per month - includes unlimited talk, text and 2GB of 4G LTE data
  • $29.99 per month - includes unlimited talk, text and 5GB of 4G LTE data
  • $39.99 per month - includes unlimited talk, text and 23GB of 4G LTE data

These plans include taxes and fees. Mobile hotspot is available to plans running on Sprint's network. Customers on T-Mobile's network do not have access to mobile hotspot.

If you are interested in getting a phone from TextNow, you have these devices to choose from:

  • Apple iPhone 6 16GB - $139.99 (used)
  • HTC Bolt - $119.99 (new)

  1. refurb s9 + 2 months free service on a t-mo mvno for $450 is pretty reasonable. any idea what their unlock policy is like?

  2. Seems like an interesting deal. You get a refurbished phone and 2,5 months free on the unlimited plan ($120 savings). Also, the Sprint network on Textnow seems to have free Roaming, so at least the Voice coverage will be good (if you don't want T-Mobile).

  3. Can these phones be used on sprint after?

  4. This company is awful to deal with. I bought a phone from them a year or so ago and it got lost in the mail. The issue is that they wouldn't send me another one or refund me until they had called UPS and had them do a 2 week investigation into the package. It lost tracking about halfway through the route so it never even made it to my city. They weren't helpful at all and all together it was about a month before I got a refund from them. I had to call every couple of days and bother them in order to get them to do anything. I would avoid this company like the plague.

    1. You probably should have disputed the credit card charge a few days after the package was lost and after the company said they wouldn't send you an immediate replacement.
