T-Mobile Prepaid Introduces Limited Time Unlimited LTE Data Plan Offer

t-mobile-prepaid-unlimited-lte-plan
T-Mobile recently unveiled a new unlimited LTE data plan for its prepaid brand.

The new plan offers unlimited LTE data at a price of $50 per month. Unfortunately, this plan will only be available for a limited time period.

The promotional plan includes a data prioritization policy. Once you have consumed 50GB of data in one month, your speed will be temporarily slowed down in times of network congestion.

The policy also includes a maximum of 480p video streaming and unlimited 3G mobile hotspot/tethering.

In addition to the new promotional plan, T-Mobile Prepaid is currently giving away a free phone. When you purchase a $100 ePin or service credit, you are entitled to receive one of these phones:

  • LG Aristo 2
  • Motorola Moto E5 Play
  • T-Mobile REVVL

This free phone offer, however, is not a new announcement. The company has been offering this in-store promotion for the last two months. The free phones being offered are all priced at $150. The free phone offer does not cover applicable taxes, so you will have to pay for that.

There is no mention of how long these two promotions will be available.

    1. Well, with MetroPCS by T-Mobile you’re treating as second in line to T-Mobile subscribers on the T-Mobile network. From their website legal directives. “Metro by T-Mobile customers’ data is prioritized below data of some T-Mobile-branded customers at times and locations where competing network demands occur. See store or metropcs.com for details, coverage maps, restrictions and Terms and Conditions of Service (including arbitration provision). . ” Also, on MetroPCS’ Unlimited Plans they Adlai disclose,”On all plans, if congested, the fraction of customers >35Gb/mo.
may notice reduced speeds due to prioritization.Video streams at 480p.”

  3. "The company has been offering this in-store promotion for the last two months."

The stores I went to would not honor the free phone offer. Is this offer available online?

    1. Yes, they are been offering this promotion in select markets with special pricing since August 2018. I know for a fact, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Lake Charles, Louisiana you can receive the T-Mobile One prepaid plan for $40, instead of $75!

  5. Unlimited 3G hotspot could replace home Internet. No one else has unlimited 3G hotspot for $50 that I know of. Everyone else throttles hotspot to 2G.

  6. so simply prepaid has unlimited roaming on at&t?

    1. Mobile hotspot/tethering is unlimited but restricted to 3G data speeds which should be about 512Kbps. No LTE hotspot data is provided. This is from another article about the offer.

  8. You could already get unlimited data on T-Mobile for $40 (with postpaid speeds, domestic roaming on US Cellular and small carriers, and global 128 kbps roaming) through reseller Teltik.

While this offer is a good sign, they still have work to do.

    1. You have to get a new band 71 phone for T-Mobile. Otherwise it won't do you much good, unless you are coming from Sprint and happen to be used to the idea of your phone not working most of the time.
