Almost two months after Samsung started rolling out Android 9.0 Pie updates to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, it still isn't being adapted by the big four U.S. carriers.

Xfinity Mobile customers, however, have plenty of reason to celebrate; particularly those who use these two Android devices.

Earlier today, SamMobile revealed that the Comcast-owned MVNO is the first provider to offer Android 9.0 Pie on carrier-locked devices.

If you are using either device, you can check whether the update is now available for your device by checking the Software update menu on the Settings app. The report shows that the big four U.S. carriers will still release the update in the coming days.

In addition to this report, Xfinity Mobile is currently offering a killer deal on new and old iPhones. If you purchase one of the specified devices, you get a free $200 prepaid card.

Among the select iPhone models eligible for this promotion include the following:

  • iPhone 7
  • iPhone 7 Plus
  • iPhone 8
  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone XS Max

You only have until February 20 to purchase an iPhone device to get the free prepaid card. Once you have the device, you will need to activate a new line of service for the phone and port an existing number within 30 days.

Xfinity Mobile is a Comcast-owned MVNO that runs under Verizon's network.
