LG G8 ThinQ Gets Price and US Release Date

Last month, LG introduced its latest flagship smartphone, the LG G8 ThinQ. We're finally learning when this smartphone will be available in US stores and carriers.

Earlier today, LG announced that the LG G8 ThinQ will be released in the US starting April 11. The phone is priced at $819.99 and comes in three different color options: New Aurora Black, New Platinum Gray, and Carmine Red.

LG also unveiled news that it will be offering discounts for those who purchase the device. For a limited time period, the LG G8 ThinQ will be available at a discount of up to $150, depending on the carrier or retailer you purchase the device from.

Among the carriers and retailers that have already promised to offer the device on the said date include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Xfinity Mobile, U.S. Cellular, B&H, and Best Buy.

As a refresher, the LG G8 ThinQ comes with a 6.1-inch OLED display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. On the back, there is a dual camera with a 12-megapixel main sensor and a 16-megapixel secondary sensor with 4K UHD video. In front, there is an 8-megapixel dual-camera. The phone includes a 3,500mAh battery, LG's Time-of-Flight camera, 3D Face Unlock, and the new Hand ID security feature.

Upon release, the LG G8 ThinQ runs on Android 9.0 Pie.
