Google Store Accidentally Sends Out Email for $300 Off on Pixel 3 and 3 XL

Oops! Google Store accidentally sent out an email to certain Android users.

According to posts on Reddit, Google offered these users a $300 discount on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The confusing part about this is that Google recently kicked off its Google Store summer sale on these devices. So naturally, many were quick to assume it was a huge deal.

The email, with subject "New deals from Google", was sent out last night as a way of advertising its summer offers. The email contained a $300 discount on the two devices, bringing down the starting price of the Pixel 3 to $499 instead of $799.

Once customers opened the Google Store website, they were shocked to see that only the original $200 discount appeared. There was also no promo code for the $300 discount offer, which was promised to be "provided by Google LLC for use on Google Store only."

Apparently, this turned out to be a glitch. Google told the recipients of the email that they will be contacted by the company with the correct pricing over the next 24 to 48 hours. They will also be informing their customers how they plan to resolve the glitch.

More information will be shared as soon as it becomes available.
