Comcast's Xfinity Mobile is now accepting Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) for select Android devices. This means good news for those who have been considering switching to the Verizon MVNO.

Right now, Xfinity Internet subscribers can bring in these devices to Xfinity Mobile:

  • Samsung Galaxy S8
  • Samsung Galaxy S8+
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 8
  • Samsung Galaxy S9
  • Samsung Galaxy S9+
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 9

As for the newer Galaxy S10 series, Xfinity Mobile does not offer BYOD option for these devices yet. An option is to purchase from one of its stores or via its website.

For a limited time period, customers who bring in a qualifying Galaxy phone can get a $100 Visa prepaid debit card when they port in an existing number and keep that account active for the next 90 days. A total of five phones may be ported in to get a $500 Visa prepaid debit card in return. This promotion is available until August 4th.

More smartphone models will be accepted by Xfinity Mobile for BYOD later in the year.

To know if your device is compatible, visit Xfinity Mobile's website here.
