Ting Updates Welcome Page for FreedomPop Migration

ting-welcome-page-freedompop-customers-updated
Earlier this week, Ting Mobile revealed that FreedomPop will be quitting Sprint as its mobile network partner. In the process, Ting has stepped in to help make the lives of affected customers a little better. The MVNO even gave a $20 for 20GB special offer with the first month of service for free.

A day after the announcement was made, it looks like the link to take the offer has been brought down. In its place, Ting Mobile has published a new page that gives information on how they plan to help FreedomPop customers migrate to Ting Mobile.

The MVNO explained that they hoping to finish migrating all FreedomPop customers to Ting by the middle of the month. The MVNO also shared that customers who wish to get further information will have to wait until their account has been migrated before they can provide assistance. This is because the accounts are currently still under FreedomPop. Until the migration starts, there is nothing left to do but wait.

Ting suggests to keep an eye out for an email from them to know when everything will start taking place. Right now, the company is working at making the migration as seamless as possible. Once it becomes available, customers will only need 2-3 minutes to go through the self-service portal. If you are an affected customer, you will need to prepare your FreedomPop email address, phone number or IMEI/MEID.

If you decide not to migrate to Ting, the MVNO will provide you your porting information so you can port to a carrier of your choice.

In its updated website, there is no mention of the special offer that Ting Mobile has in store for its customers. We'll have to keep our eyes out for an update on what Ting has to offer for those who decide to go through with the migration.
