According to reports, Comcast and Charter Communications are in talks with Amdocs for backend assistance for their mobile services.

The company shares that if the partnership pushes through, Amdocs will be providing software support for billing, ordering, and monetization of Xfinity Mobile and Spectrum Mobile.

Amdocs did not give information on the terms of the deals and whether or not it has already been providing service for the Verizon MVNOs. The software services provider made the announcement via a couple of press releases.

For Xfinity Mobile, Amdocs' statement was "the Comcast and Amdocs DevOps teams work collaboratively to launch new mobile offers and service enhancements via agile methodologies that drive increased business value and economics and provide a simpler and more consistent digital customer experience."

On Spectrum Mobile's case, Amdocs' statement showed: "its suite of integrated and modular solutions will help Charter increase time to market of new Spectrum Mobile service offers and bundles that enhance the consumer experience."

Xfinity Mobile added 181,000 service lines in the second quarter, making it a total of 1.5 million lines ever since it launched two years ago. Spectrum Mobile, on the other hand, added 208,000 lines of service in the same quarter. They now have 518,000 lines ever since they launched at the end of June 2018.
