New subscribers can enjoy a free month of service that Consumer Cellular is currently giving away. All you have to do is sign up for one of the phone plans being offered by the AT&T and T-Mobile MVNO.

If you are interested in this offer, you will have to choose from the available plans:

  • $15 per month - includes 250 minutes
  • $20 per month - includes unlimited minutes
  • $20 per month - includes 250 minutes, unlimited text, and 250 MB of data

The prices above do not yet include taxes and fees. Mobile hotspot usage is included.

The promotion launched last August 15 and is set to run through September 30. Although this offer is exclusive to new customers, current customers can add a line to their account and get an invoice credit of $15. This is the charge that subscribers will have to pay when they want to add another line of service to their account. With the offer in place, this means that they will no longer have to pay for the fee.

Once the first month of service is over, customers will have an option to stick to the plan they signed up with or switch to another one.

  1. I understand Consumer Cellular does a lot of advertising, but for the life of me, I can't fathom why anyone would sign up for their service given their prices are not anywhere near competitive. The fact that they brought in $1Billion in revenue for the past year is even more astounding.

    1. If I could get by with such a small amount of data, Consumer Cellular would be a top choice for me. Number one, in fact.

  2. CC focuses on users age 50-plus who don't use a lot of data. That demographic may not be looking for 'competitive' rates if that defines as more data, more minutes, or more texts. They're just looking for something that suits their needs.
