Reach Mobile: New Charity-Oriented MVNO in the US

Reach Mobile is a relatively new MVNO that quietly launched back in 2018. Unlike the other MVNOs, the company does not publicly disclose what network it operates under. When asked, however, they respond that they are running service under "the nation's largest and most reliable 4G LTE network". Considering this tagline is similar to that of Verizon's, many can't help but think they are connected.

Reach Mobile follows the idea of "Mobile plans done right - and doing good". The MVNO believes that with the right plan, a huge difference can be made. As for the idea behind the MVNO, Reach Mobile operates as a charity-oriented MVNO. They have a program, called "Gigs That Give", which aims to help provide online access and get connected to those who cannot afford to do so.

The program follows a 10% donation system, which Reach Mobile gets from the value of the subscriber data plan. This money is used to provide connectivity to their recipients from around the world. Right now, their list of recipients include "female farmers in Nigeria through The Ripples Foundation, mothers and group leaders in eastern India through The Nudge, and families in need working to better their lives through LIFT DC".

As for its phone plans, Reach Mobile has a different structuring since they provide flexible options. Users can pick out a plan they want, but only pay for what they actually used. Their phone plans include the following options:

  • $20 per month plan  - comes with unlimited talk, text, and 1GB of 4G LTE data
  • $35 per month plan  - comes with unlimited talk, text, and 3GB of 4G LTE data
  • $45 per month plan  - comes with unlimited talk, text, and 5GB of 4G LTE data
  • $60 per month plan  - comes with unlimited talk, text, and 10GB of 4G LTE data
  • $75 per month plan  - comes with unlimited talk, text, and 20GB of 4G LTE data

Taxes and fees are not included yet. Mobile hotspot is allowed.

According to BestMVNO, a representative for Reach Mobile shared that they will soon offer service under AT&T's network. They already started to offer service under this network but had to stop new activations due to unspecified issues.
