Xfinity Mobile Offering $50 Visa Prepaid Card for BYOD Customers

Xfinity Mobile is encouraging new customers to bring your own device (BYOD). In exchange of bringing your own device and activating service, the Comcast-owned MVNO will give you a $50 Visa prepaid card.

Unfortunately, only specific phones are eligible for Xfinity Mobile's BYOD program. The Verizon MVNO only accepts select Samsung Galaxy and Apple iPhone devices for BYOD. These phones include the following:

  • Apple iPhone 6 and newer
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 8
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 9
  • Samsung Galaxy S8
  • Samsung Galaxy S8+
  • Samsung Galaxy S9
  • Samsung Galaxy S9+

In order to receive the free Visa gift card offered by XfinityMobile, you will need to subscribe to Xfinity Internet. You must activate a new line of service and port in your number from your old provider. You also need to transfer your phone number to Xfinity Mobile within 30 days of line activation. The line must be maintained and kept in good standing for 90 days after activation.

Once these conditions are met, Xfinity will send out the $50 Visa prepaid card to your address within 16-18 weeks of activation. A maximum of $250 can be issued per account.

This offer expires on Sept. 9, 2019.
