Samsung Will Soon Be Selling Unlocked Models of 3 New Galaxy A-Series Phones

Samsung will be selling unlocked models of its new Galaxy A50, A20, and A10e. These devices will also be available unlocked at other U.S. retail partners. If you are interested in these devices, you can purchase them starting September 20th.

Samsung Galaxy A50 

The Samsung Galaxy A50 comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340x1080. It is powered by a 2.3GHz Octa-Core processor with 6GB of RAM, 128GB onboard storage, and up to 512GB memory expansion via a microSD card. 

There are three cameras on the back comprising of a 25-megapixel main sensor, 5-megapixel sensor, and an 8-megapixel sensor. In front, there is another 25-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Other features include dual-SIM capability, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, fingerprint sensor, and 4,000mAh battery. 

Upon release, this device will cost $350 for the unlocked model. 

Samsung Galaxy A20


The Samsung Galaxy A20 comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 720x1560 resolution. From within, it is powered by a 1.6GHz Octa-Core processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage, and up to 512GB memory expansion via a microSD card. 

The device comes with two rear-facing cameras: a 13-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel camera. In front, there is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Other features include a 4,000mAh battery, NFC, a fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. 

Upon release, Samsung will sell this device for $250 for the unlocked model. 

Samsung Galaxy A10e


Out of the bunch, the Samsung Galaxy A10e is the most affordable model. It comes with a 5.8-inch TFT LCD display with a 720x1560 resolution. There is a 1.6GHz Octa-Core processor with 2GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage, and memory expansion of up to 512GB under the hood. 

The device comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor. Other features include a 3,000mAh battery and a 3.5mm headphone jack. 

It is priced at $180 for the unlocked model. 


You can also opt to pre-order the Galaxy A50 at Best Buy or Amazon. You can get a discount of up to $150 with activation via Best Buy. Amazon customers, on the other hand, are entitled to get a free Galaxy Fit fitness tracker band.

Samsung will start accepting Galaxy A50 pre-orders "soon after" with a credit of up to $300 for an eligible trade-in.

  1. samsung loads its phones with lots of bloatware, garbage that you can't delete and takes multiple attempts over many days just to completely disable. even then, they will pop up and interrupt you trying to activate themselves.
    no thamks! i can get unlocked phones from umidigi, motorola, blu, and nokia that are just as good, much cheaper, and far less annoying. if only we could devise a way to kill bixby!
