Google Fi Offering Dual Connect Technology for Pixel 4 Users

Google Fi is making its users' experience better particularly for those who are using a Pixel 4.

Ever since it launched, the Google MVNO has been switching between three 4G LTE networks. As a result, they are able to offer access to the 2 million Wi-Fi hotspots situated throughout the world. But now, Pixel 4 customers are enjoying better technology and coverage.

Compared to the three 4G LTE networks that the other Google Fi users get to enjoy, Pixel 4 users have access to better coverage. This is because Google Fi has unveiled its new dual connect technology on these devices. The technology allows these devices to connect to two LTE networks simultaneously. So whenever one network experiences delays or pauses, the Pixel 4 user can enjoy seamless browsing.

This is made possible through Dual Sim Dual Standby (DSDS) hardware that's currently available on the Pixel 4. The technology kept the two networks ready for use anytime they are needed. In order to connect to two networks simultaneously, Google Fi makes use of a SIM card and an eSIM.

The new technology will be offered exclusively on Pixel 4 devices purchased from Google Fi in the next few days. But that's just a start, as it expands its dual connect technology, Google Fi will be making it available to more Designed for Fi devices in the future.
