Reach Mobile Has Stopped AT&T Activations

Back in August, a new charity-oriented MVNO was unveiled. The MVNO, called Reach Mobile, quietly launched in the US yet did not disclose which network it operated under. Now, it looks like the MVNO has decided to discontinue one of the wireless plans it offered.

Starting today, Reach Mobile will no longer be offering its $20 plan. This plan provided subscribers unlimited talk, text, and 1GB of 4G LTE data before throttling. The MVNO apparently offered customers a choice to have service run under AT&T or Verizon's network. But as it turns out, Reach Mobile will no longer be activating new subscribers under AT&T's network.

As reported by BestMVNO, this isn't the first time Reach Mobile stopped activations under the same network. In the past, the MVNO did not reveal their reason for stopping activations. But looking at its history, it is possible that they might resume AT&T activations. They have allowed its existing AT&T based customers to keep their plans.

Now that Reach Mobile has removed its $20 plan, it continues to offer these plans:

  • $35 per month plan - comes with unlimited talk, text, and 3GB of 4G LTE data
  • $45 per month plan - comes with unlimited talk, text, and 5GB of 4G LTE data
  • $60 per month plan - comes with unlimited talk, text, and 10GB of 4G LTE data
  • $75 per month plan - comes with unlimited talk, text, and 20GB of 4G LTE data

All plans include mobile hotspot at no extra charge. Taxes and fees, however, do cost extra.
