CAT Unveils Latest S32 Smartphone for $349

CAT, the maker of rugged smartphones in the US, has just unveiled its latest device. Just like its other devices, the CAT S32 is a heavy-duty smartphone that manages to bring a punch with its specs.

Despite being packed with some really good specs, CAT has managed to keep its signature rubberized material as the housing for the device. This way, its users always have a good grip on the phone. As a rugged device, the CAT S32 comes with IP68 water resistance of 1.5m up to 35 minutes and a MIL SPEC 810G compliance against shocks and vibrations. On the left side of the phone is a customizable button that can be used to launch push-to-talk applications.

There is a 5.5-inch display with a 720p resolution and DragonTrail Pro Glass protection. CAT has made sure that this phone can still be operated while wearing gloves or if you have wet fingers. From within, the S32 is powered by a Quad-Core MediaTek Helio A20 chipset with 3GB of RAM and onboard storage of 32GB. On the back, there is a 13-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. Other notable features include a 4,200mAh battery, CAT 6 LTE speeds VoLTE support, Wi-Fi Calling, NFC, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

One thing that's worth mentioning is that this particular model is a bit more affordable compared to previous models. The CAT S32 can now be purchased on their website at a price of $349. The US variant is said to support Verizon and T-Mobile's 4G LTE bands. Decent support for AT&T and FirstNet band 14 can also be expected.
