Cricket Wireless Brings Down Price of Select Devices for Limited Time

A few days ago, Cricket Wireless unveiled its new pricing for its smartphones. The announcement saw the AT&T prepaid brand to increase the price of the Apple iPhone 6s 32GB variant by $100. Prior to the announcement, the device used to be priced at $49.99. But it looks like the prepaid brand decided to bring the phone back to this price.

But in order to get the iPhone 6s at $49.99, you will need to port-in to the $60 unlimited plan offered by Cricket Wireless. This is the same deal that Cricket offered over the holidays.

In addition to reducing the price on the iPhone 6s, Cricket has also updated the price of a few other devices. This include the following:

  • Apple iPhone 6s Plus - $99.99 (formerly $199.99)
  • LG Stylo 5 - $9.99 (formerly $109.99)
  • Moto G7 Supra - $9.99 (formerly $99.99)

These devices also require activation under the $60 unlimited plan. The promotion is said to run until February 13, 2020.

Another announcement that was recently made showed that AT&T might soon be offering the products of its prepaid brand to multi-carrier stores. The announcement was posted on an industry Facebook group and is said to start in February.

Considering the fact that Cricket Wireless has always been offered as an exclusive store product, this is a welcomed change. It's possible that it could be available on a trial basis and in select markets.
