When it comes to the latest Android OS, only a handful of devices are able to support it. Even though the upcoming Android 11 OS is slated to be released in May, Android 10 is only available on select models.

But thankfully, smartphone manufacturers have been doing their part to roll out support for the new OS. Just recently, both LG and Motorola have revealed that they are rolling out the update in their devices.

LG has confirmed that at least nine of their devices will be receiving the Android 10 update in the coming months. These devices include the following models:

  • LG G7
  • LG G8S
  • LG G8X
  • LG K40S
  • LG K50
  • LG K50S
  • LG Q60
  • LG V40
  • LG V50

Out of these devices, the LG V50 is said to be the first one to get the update in early February. It will then be followed by the LG G8X ThinQ, which will get the update by the second quarter of the year. In Q3, the update will roll out to the LG G7, LG G8S, and LG V40. As for the other devices, they should receive the update by Q4.

Meanwhile, Motorola has pushed out the Android 10 update to Moto G7 Plus users in Brazil. The report was first made by Tudocelular, who confirmed that the update started rolling out a few days ago. And the users confirmed that they received the final build of the OS instead of a beta version.

Even though these devices are already slated to receive the update, its availability will still depend on the country and carrier. The update includes the security patch from December 2019 and some new features and improvements that LG and Motorola have exclusively made for their own users. For one thing, LG users can look forward to the new LG UX 9.0 with the update. According to LG, this new UI changes the way their phones look and makes it easy for users to enjoy.
