Ting No Longer Dropping T-Mobile as MVNO Partner

Last year, there were reports that Ting would be ending support for GSM devices. Instead, it would solely be offering support for CDMA network, namely Sprint. Fortunately, the MVNO has reconsider this decision and promised to continue serving customers under T-Mobile's towers.

When it made the announcement last year, it was because Ting was uncertain of how things would end up with the impending Sprint-T-Mobile merger. If the merger pushed through, the MVNO planned to retain Sprint's network and add Verizon as another option for CDMA customers.

In a released "Ting Ask" video, however, Ting confirmed that they will no longer be dropping their current networks. The video, released on Ting's official YouTube channel last December, also expressed that they will push through with adapting Verizon as an added CDMA option later in the year.

What this means is that if you are an existing customer, you don't have to worry about losing access to GSM network.
