Nokia 2.3 Coming to Cricket Wireless and Metro by T-Mobile

A few weeks ago, we talked about HMD Global's upcoming entry-level device, the Nokia 2.3 and what it will be like. Today, we're getting word that the device is heading to the U.S. with support for select networks.

As a refresher, the Nokia 2.3 will be released with a 6.2-inch HD screen. It runs on a MediaTek Helio A22 processor with 2GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage, memory card slot, 4,000mAh battery, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front sensor.

As for the frame of the device, it is said to have an aluminum body with a 3D nano-textured design on the back. Upon release, the phone will run on Android 9 OS with two years of updates and three months of security updates. Colors available include Sand and Charcoal.

The US model will support bands 2, 4, 5, 12, and 66. This means that it will be compatible with the networks of AT&T and T-Mobile. For the prepaid market, this means that you can use it with Cricket Wireless and Metro by T-Mobile. No pricing information has been released yet but the unlocked model will be sold by Amazon and Best Buy for $129 beginning February 9, 2020.

  1. You neglected to mention it has a 2nd rear 2MP camera.

  2. Of late, many manufacturers have started selling dual SIM devices in the US. I appreciate if you consider adding a comment whether a new product you are writing about has a dual SIM. I enjoy reading your reports. Best wishes
