Samsung Working on New Budget Phone Called Galaxy M01

Samsung is reported to be coming up with a new budget phone called the Samsung Galaxy M01. The report comes after it was spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification website by credible source, SamMobile.

Right now, the specs of this phone have not yet been revealed to the public. But according to its listing, there will be two separate models; each of which will run Android 10 on top of Samsung's One UI. The report also says that the device will be equipped with a 2GHz Snapdragon Qualcomm 400 processor with 3GB of RAM.

Last year, Samsung also unveiled a budget smartphone series under the name Galaxy M20. The devices here also came with 2GB or 3GB of RAM, 64GB onboard storage, a 6.3-inch TFT display, and surprisingly, a massive 5,000mAh battery.

And just a few months ago, Samsung also took the wraps off another budget device, the Galaxy A11. It also came in two versions, each of which came with an Octa-Core processor, 2GB or 3GB of RAM, 6.4-inch TFT screen, 32GB of onboard storage, and 4,000mAh battery.

It looks like Samsung has been busy making budget smartphones. With the Galaxy M01, it's interesting to see how the South Korean manufacturer will equip this to match its predecessors. But who knows, maybe it will be able to match it.

  1. Good for Samsung. Not everyone wants or needs or can afford a $1000+ phone. They had nothing in the low end, to compere with Nokia, Moto, or any of the 3rd-tier players.
