Spectrum Mobile Now Offering 5G Service to Unlimited Plan Customers

Charter Communications' Spectrum Mobile service has just revealed that it will be offering 5G wireless service to its customers. The only caveat to this announcement though is that the service is only available to its $45 "unlimited" plan customers.

This news follows the release of the latest 5G-enabled devices from Samsung. In its announcement, Spectrum revealed that it will be giving a $200 credit to customers who decide to trade in their device for one of these phones. The good thing is that Spectrum is offering 0% APR financing for 24 months on these devices.

As mentioned, only the $45 "unlimited" plan customers can enjoy 5G wireless service by Spectrum Mobile. This plan comes with unlimited talk, text, and 20 GB high-speed data. It also comes with mobile hotspot. Meanwhile, customers who have a By-The-Gig plan are only limited to 4G LTE access.

Considering Spectrum runs on Verizon's networks, the locations where 5G service is available include the following cities:

  • Atlanta
  • Boise
  • Boston
  • Charlotte
  • Chicago
  • Cincinnati
  • Cleveland
  • Columbus
  • Dallas
  • Denver
  • Des Moines
  • Detroit
  • Grand Rapids
  • Greensboro
  • Hampton Roads
  • Hoboken
  • Houston
  • Indianapolis
  • Kansas City
  • Little Rock
  • Los Angeles
  • Memphis
  • Miami
  • Minneapolis
  • New York City
  • Omaha
  • Panama City
  • Phoenix
  • Providence
  • Salt Lake City
  • Sioux Falls
  • Spokane
  • St. Paul
  • Washington, D.C.

Verizon plans to make its 5G network available in 60 cities before the year ends.
