Remember TCL? You know, the manufacturer of the hit BlackBerry device from the early 2000s. Well, they may have retired their popular device to concentrate on Alcatel smartphones. But they have returned with a couple of new TCL models as a way of trying to reclaim their spot as a top smartphone manufacturer.

The two new devices are called the TCL 10 Pro and TCL 10L. These phones are considered as their first TCL-branded phones to be released in the US. Considering the fact that TCL manufactures televisions with their own display panels, these two phones will carry the same technology.

TCL 10 Pro

The TCL 10 Pro comes with a 6.47-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. It has a curved-glass design with a bezel-less frame. The curved display comes with an Edge Bar feature that gives access to some device shortcuts. TCL uses its NXTVISION technology on the smartphone, which provides better visuals.

From within, the TCL 10 Pro runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor with 6GB of RAM, 128GB onboard storage, and a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The device has a quad-camera configuration on the back with a 64-megapixel main sensor, 16-megapixel wide-angle lens, a macro camera, and a low-light camera. In front, there is a 24-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Other features available include an in-display fingerprint reader, 3.5mm headphone jack, IR emitter, 4,500mAh battery, and USB-C. Upon release, it runs on Android 10 and supports 4G LTE network in US bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 13, 25, 26, 41, and 66.

It will be released in Ember Gray color and sold at $450.

TCL 10L

Out of the two, the TCL 10L is marketed as the more affordable option. It is also the larger model with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display and a 91% screen-to-body ratio.

From within, the TCL 10L runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor with 6GB of RAM, 64GB onboard storage, and a microSD card slot for expandable storage. It also comes with a quad rear camera configuration with a 48-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel wide camera, 2-megapixel macro camera, and a depth camera. In front, there is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, 3.5mm headphone jack, and multi-stream Bluetooth. Upon release, it runs Android 10 and supports 4G LTE network in US bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 13, 25, 26, 41, and 66. It will be sold in the US in a Mariana Blue color with a holographic finish on the back at a price of $249.99.

Right now, there is no word on carrier availability. But since these two phones will be sold unlocked, you can purchase them on Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart beginning May 19.
