Two of Samsung's 5G Phones Coming to Verizon

Verizon will soon be welcoming a couple of new 5G smartphones to its roster of devices.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 5G and Galaxy A71 5G are the two latest devices to be offered by Verizon. Get to know these two new phones here.

Samsung Galaxy S20 5G

If the name rings a bell to you, that's because its other variants have already been available at Verizon for quite some time now. The Galaxy S20 5G Plus and Galaxy S20 5G Ultra are two models that Verizon has highlighted for quite some time now. The new Galaxy S20 5G adds to the list of devices that come with 5G support.

This, however, is not a new device. As a matter of fact, the Galaxy S20 5G UW is a tailored Galaxy S20. It is called 5G UW because it supports faster 5G Ultra Wideband. The Galaxy S20 version that is available at AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile only supports low-band and mid-band 5G. Verizon's own model supports its millimeter-wave 5G network, which is already live in 34 cities.

If you are interested in this device, you can pre-order it on May 21. It will start retailing on June 4. The 128GB variant costs $1,000, but you can opt for the 24-month payment plan so you can get the phone at $41.66 per month. Colors include cosmic gray, cloud pink, and cloud white. The cloud white color is exclusive to Verizon.

Samsung Galaxy A71 5G

The other Samsung 5G device that will be making its way to Verizon is the Galaxy A71 5G. The South Korean manufacturer announced this phone last month and said that it would be available in the US for $600. And the Bluetooth SIG database today shows that this device is making its way to the country real soon.

This phone comes with a 6.7-inch full HD display. It includes a 64-megapixel main camera, a 4,500mAh battery, and 25W fast charging. Right now, this is all we know about this phone. We'll update the post once more details are available.
