HTC Quietly Unveils Entry-Level Wildfire E2 Smartphone

HTC has quietly unveiled a new affordable smartphone called the HTC Wildfire E2.

The HTC Wildfire E2 comes with a 6.2-inch display with a 1520x720 resolution. From within, the phone runs on an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6762D processor with either 3 or 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB onboard storage. There is a microSD card slot for up to 128GB memory expansion.

The device houses a couple of cameras on the back-- a 16-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. In front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera on its waterdrop notch. Other features include a fingerprint reader, 4,000mAh battery, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Upon release, the phone runs Android 10 OS.

Unfortunately, there's still no word on whether this new device will be making its way to the US. It was reported by HTC's Russian website as an official device being sold at ‎₽8760 Rubles (or $119). But if the phone launches in other parts of the world, it will definitely be one to look out for since it comes with decent specs.
