It looks like Samsung is working on a 5G version of its Galaxy A51 device. When this launches in the US, it will be one of the mid-range phones that come with 5G support.

In addition to 5G support, this particular model improves on some of the specs included on the Galaxy A51. There will likely be an Octa-Core chip with either the Exynos 9611 or Exynos 980 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage.

It comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED Infinity-O display and a 4,000mAh battery. The phone also includes a quad-camera configuration on the back with a 48-megapixel main sensor, 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 5-megapixel macro lens, and another 5-megapixel depth sensor. A 3.5mm headphone jack will be included.

According to reports, the Galaxy A51 5G will arrive in the US on August 7th. T-Mobile is said to offer this phone at $499.99, making it the most affordable 5G phone in the country. The report also says that Metro by T-Mobile will be offering this device.

A similar variant will be sold by Verizon called the Galaxy A51 5G UW on August 13. It will be sold at $550.

  1. The pixel 4a 5g will be $499 & not carrier locked & eSIM & probably longer period of support/updates.

  2. The Samsung A51 5G is crippled by a slow, inefficient Exynos processor. Competitors sell much less expensive phones with fast efficient Qualcomm processors.
