Nowadays, kids are using their gadgets more. That's because the health crisis has encouraged everyone to stay outdoors and avoid as much physical interaction. Instead, parents turn to their gadgets to help their kids entertained and even have virtual playdates.

But there's always a risk of going online, especially for kids who might chance upon content that is not intended for them. Thankfully, developers are always looking for ways they can make the online space safer for kids.

Just recently, Google introduced its new feature called Google Kids Space. This new mode is available on select Android tablets. It does more than offer screen time limits and safety features that help make sure kids are safe when they're online The kids tab allows parents to easily look for apps that have been "teacher-approved" for kids to access.

Right now, the feature is offering over 400 free books that are available in the US alone. They also have fun and creative videos from YouTube Kids that encourage off-screen activities. Parents can also download additional content from Google Play.

Upon announcement, Google says the feature will be rolling out on the Lenovo Smart Tab M10 HD Gen 2 globally. It will also be rolling out to more Android tablets soon.
