Cable-Owned MVNOs Now Offering Nationwide 5G, Selling iPhone 12 Soon

It looks like the cable-owned MVNOs are already expanding their 5G coverage. With the announcement of the latest iPhone 12 series, both Comcast and Charter revealed that they will be offering the device real soon.

Xfinity Mobile, a Verizon MVNO, promises to offer the lowest 5G entry price. And since Verizon recently launched its 5G Nationwide network, the MVNO offers this service to the customers of Xfinity Mobile at no extra charge.

As of this writing, Xfinity Mobile has a couple of nationwide 5G data options:
  • By-the-Gig shared data: 1GB for $15, 3GB for $30, and 10GB for $60
  • Unlimited: $45 per month per line
Xfinity Mobile reduces data speeds once the 20GB of cellular data is consumed.

Another cable-owned MVNO, Spectrum Mobile, has started to offer 5G at no extra charge. Their plan options include the following:
  • By-the-Gig: $14 per Gig
  • 20GB Unlimited plan: $45 per month
  • 30GB Unlimited plan: $55 per month

As mentioned, these MVNOs have started to offer the iPhone 12 series. Xfinity Mobile and Spectrum Mobile are already accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, with availability on October 23rd. Meanwhile, customers can order the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max starting November 6th, with availability on November 13th.

Xfinity Mobile will be giving a $250 discount to new customers who purchase an Apple device. Meanwhile, current customers who upgrade can get a $250 prepaid card. As for those who switch to Spectrum Mobile, the MVNO will be giving $100 with a qualifying device trade-in along with their purchase.
