Verizon Updating Select LG Devices for 5G Nationwide Network

Last week, Verizon was busy with its 5G Nationwide network. Apart from launching the network, Verizon also updated some devices, particularly the ones from Samsung. Now, it looks like they are updating select LG phones to include support for its new 5G Nationwide network.

As revealed, Verizon is updating two LG devices to include support for its 5G Nationwide coverage. These two phones include the LG V60 ThinQ 5G UW and the LG Velvet 5G UW.

Right now, the wireless carrier is rolling out the updates to these two devices over the air. This means that if you are using either device, you should be able to see the update arrive in the next coming days.

Your phone may automatically download the update, if you have activated this option. But if you have chosen to manually update your device, you can check if the update is available by going into Settings > About Phone > Software updates > Check for Update > Download Now.

Once the update is available in your phone, you'll be able to access Verizon's newly launched 5G Nationwide network; providing (of course) you're in an area with coverage. Although the network isn't as fast as 5G Ultra Wideband, it's a lot better at penetrating buildings and reaching locations.
