Google Will Soon Rollout Scheduled Message Feature to Its Messages App

Google is adding a much awaited feature to its Messages app.

According to reports, users have been able to see a "Schedule Message" feature on their Google Messages app. With this feature around, users can opt to send a text message at a specific time they want. All you need to do is to write your text, press and hold the Send button, and that's it!

You'll then be given a choice of preset times that you want to send out your message. Some examples of these preset times include "Later today, 6:00 pm" and "Tomorrow, 8:00 am".

But there is an option to go with the "Select date and time" option. This will allow you to set a custom date and time to send out your message.

Once you're all set, you should see your message on the chat thread with a clock beside it and a "Scheduled message" text just below. You can update the content of the message by tapping on it. This will also allow you to send the message immediately or delete it for good.

The new scheduling feature hasn't rolled out to all users yet. But as confirmed by XDA-Developers, the current APK for Google Messages already includes the code for the feature. This indicates that the feature will be rolled out to a wider scale soon.
